| These rules shall not be construed to be all inclusive but should be viewed as a guide
for other situations which may occur. These rules apply equally to everyone while on
the Swaim Sports Complex property. Violation of the rules may result in suspension
from games. FIREARMS OR ANY WEAPONS ARE PROHIBITED AT ALL LITTLE
LEAGUE FACILITIES
- The use or possession of any alcoholic beverage or illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
This shall include all occasions while engaged in Little League activities
regardless of location. Violation of this will result in an automatic 1-year
suspension from any activity involving the Kernersville Little League.
- Glass or metal containers (except those associated with the normal operation of the
facility) are prohibited due to safety, littering and equipment damage considerations.
- Everyone is responsible for ensuring that all debris is placed in containers as
provided.
- Property abuse will not be tolerated. This shall include all team equipment (bats,
helmets, etc.) and the facilities.
- Careless and reckless driving is strictly prohibited. There will be no parking
near the entrance gate to the complex. Vehicles will be towed at the owner's
expense.
- Horseplay is prohibited. This is to include sliding on handrails, fighting, and
sliding down hills.
- "Cup Ball" and warm-ups are prohibited in the vicinity of the building due to
the potential for injury and property damage.
- Batting or throwing against backstops or fences is prohibited due to damage
considerations. Climbing over or on fences, soft-toss screens, the batting cage or
backstops is prohibited due to safety and damage considerations. Anyone observed
abusing these assets of the facility will be suspended from the next game.
- The home team for the final game on a field each day shall rake the area around home
plate and the pitchers mound and fill any holes.
- Verbal abuse or threatening language directed toward anyone will not be tolerated and
may result in suspension or termination of membership.
- Parents/Guardians shall supervise non-participating children at all times while on the
premises.
- All riding toys including trail bikes, three wheelers, skateboards and rollerblades are
prohibited.
- Anyone ordered by an umpire or League Official to leave the premises for any reason
shall do so immediately and will not be permitted to attend the next game for his/her
team. A second offense will result in a one week suspension. An additional
offense will result in suspension for the remainder of the season including tournament and
All Stars.
- All teams will be represented at all monthly meetings in April, May and June (first
Monday of each month at 7:30 pm) of the Board of Directors in order that teams will be
aware of all league functions. The representative may be the team manager, coach,
team mother, or a parent. Failure to have at least (1) representative present will
result in an automatic (1) game suspension for the team manager.
- Pets are prohibited on the Swaim Complex property.
- Any player under a doctor's care for any injury must present a medical release from
their doctor to their respective V.P. before they can participate in games or practices.
- Kernersville Little League is not responsible for personal injury or damage to any motor
vehicle while on league property.
- There will be no pick-up games played on empty fields after the lights are required on
for play to continue at adjacent fields.
